Black and White Mountain and Red Sun Poster

A red sun above the peaks

A terracotta-red disc floats alone in a cream sky. Below, a mountain range raises its peaks, one slope in shadow, the other in light. At the foot of the slopes, a fir forest borders a lake where the whole landscape is reflected in horizontal lines.

The line of an engraving

The mountains are drawn with tight hatching that sculpts the relief, like an engraving. The dense black of the forest and its reflection contrasts with the light background, and the single touch of color draws the eye to the sun. Few elements, a lot of presence: it is a minimalist image you take in at a glance.

The essentials, nothing more

At Menivora, nature is something to look at as much as to reflect on. This poster keeps only what matters: the mountain, the water, the sun. The reflection in the lake reminds us that things are seen more clearly when all is calm. It is an image for anyone seeking simplicity and a fixed point to rest their eyes on.

Where to hang it?

Its cream background and pared-down palette suit minimalist, Scandinavian or Japanese-inspired interiors, and the terracotta touch pairs well with wood, linen and earthy tones. It finds its place in a living room, bedroom, study or entryway. In a small size, it completes a gallery wall; at 50x70 cm or 70x100 cm, it becomes the centerpiece of the wall. As for the frame, black underlines the linework, wood complements the red of the sun and white leaves all the room to the drawing.
