The Watcher, Abstract Bauhaus Poster

A large red sun sets behind a white house with crisp lines. Its flat roofs jut out in cantilever, its long picture window is divided into blue, red and orange panels, and a thin black railing runs along the terrace. Below, a deep blue block and a sunny yellow background structure the composition, while a dark green shrub softens the whole.

This illustration pays tribute to the architecture of the Bauhaus, the school founded in Weimar in 1919 by Walter Gropius. Its architects dreamed of simple, bright, functional houses: geometric volumes, roof terraces, large openings, no needless ornament. Primary colors, closely studied by the school's teachers, brought these pure forms to life and gave them character.

The flat-color graphic style, with no gradients, reinforces that clarity. Every color has its place, every line its role. The result is joyful, balanced and instantly readable, even from a distance.

At Menivora, we see architecture as a philosophy of life: keep it simple, get it right, and let the light in. This house is a perfect illustration of that.

This poster will bring a touch of color and optimism to a living room, kitchen, study or bedroom. It suits modern, mid-century or Scandinavian interiors, white walls, light wood and mustard, blue or red accents. It makes an ideal gift for an architect, a designer or a future homeowner dreaming of their ideal house. It forms a coherent series with our other Bauhaus-inspired posters.

At Menivora, we believe simplicity is the most accomplished form of elegance.
